About Us

We are an informally organized group with no set constitution,
but we are united with the love of the outdoors and nature.

We have existed in this manner for over fifty years centred mainly around the annual Christmas Bird Count.  In 1994 we became affiliated with B.C. Nature which led eventually to where we are today.  Still informally organized, but we do have an Executive Committee that meets twice a year to review progress of the group and to plan activities for the ensuing period.  Currently we have a membership of 55 single and family, which represents 85 individuals.

A non-profit group, our goal is to learn about and enjoy nature primarily within the Salish Sea region.  We are dedicated to creating a greater awareness and appreciation of our natural environment, but we are not an environmental advocacy or activist group, believing that individuals should make their own decisions.
