Fraser River Delta: Natural Treasure On Our Doorstep

March 8, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$5

Little wonder that the Fraser River Estuary has affected everyday life on the Penders for thousands of years.  Its waters, shores, and uplands boast global ecological importance: world’s greatest salmon river; crucial resting place for birds; foraging area for endangered orcas.

Join speaker Anne Murray – teacher, celebrated local nature writer and lifelong birder, as she traces efforts past, present and future to conserve a delta that is both diverse and in danger.

Admission $5.  Refreshments follow the talk.  Photo by David Blevins
