For those who want to join bird song guru, Dave Reidel, a bit later in the morning, he will lead a second hike up George Hill. Here, we’ll hear birds of more open woodlands and grassy meadows, such as House Wren, Bewick’s Wren, White-crowned Sparrow, and Spotted Towhee. Two flycatcher and five warbler species can also be found in this area in breeding season. Other possibilities include Violet-green Swallow, Western Tanager, Black-headed Grosbeak and American Goldfinch. Register at firstname.lastname@example.org Note: An earlier walk is offered at 7:00am at Roe Lake. Please indicate when you register if you’d like to attend one or both activities.
